The European project “Environmental protection and sustainable development: building local capacities on solid waste management in Myanmar – SWM” will come to
an end next February 2016, after three years of successful cooperation between the City of Torino (Italy) and the City of Yangon (Myanmar). SWM project is holding its final conference in Yangon, at the Sule Shangri-La Hotel (Myanmar Ballroom) on 16th December 2015. They are welcoming around 150 participants. The project is led by the City of Torino (Italy) and the partners involved in the project are the Pollution Control and Cleansing Department (PCCD) of the Yangon City Development Committee, ITHACA association and CESVI.
After the opening remarks, they will illustrate the activities implemented and present main results.

During the same week, from 14th to 18th, to final technical missions will be performed, led by experts from ITACHA and AMIAT, the company in charge of the waste collection in Torino.
